Welcome Mustangs!!

Dear Mustang families,

We hope that your summer has been fun building memories with family and friends.  Our first day for students will be on Wednesday, August 22nd.  We look forward to the 22nd with great excitement. The new year brings about many different emotions from our community members.

We have devoted time this summer in preparation for you and your return to Monticello.  Teachers have been to various types of Professional Development.  We had a group go to Philadelphia to attend the AVID (Advancement via Individual Determination) conference, the math department worked together to create new pacing guides, and all staff participated in Digital Learning initiatives that the county hosted.

We will host our Fresh Start for incoming ninth graders starting Wednesday, August 8th,  10:00 am -3:00 pm, and Thursday, August 9th, 12:00 pm- 5:00 pm. We will host a spaghetti dinner for all families at 5:00 pm on the 9th .  Open House is scheduled for Thursday, August 16th, 6:30-8:00 pm.  Open House will allow you the opportunity to travel around school, visit various classrooms and have informal conversations with teachers and staff.  Computers will be handed out to students on the first day of classes. Our school’s mission statement: “We embrace students, we inspire learning and we innovate opportunities.”

We look forward to a great year and seeing everyone on the 22nd.

Sincerely,

We will host our Fresh Start for incoming ninth graders starting this Wednesday, August 9th.  Open House is scheduled for Thursday, August 17th, 6:30-8:00pm.  Open House will allow you the opportunity to travel around school, visit various classrooms and have informal conversations with teachers and staff.  Computers will be handed out to students on the first day of classes. Our school’s mission statement: “We embrace students, we inspire learning and we innovate opportunities.”
